| Women’s Draws | We encourage women to participate in our tournament. If enough participants register, we will hold women’s draws. If not, women may participate in the men’s draw. |
Draws will be finalized 2 weeks prior to the tournament.
Draws and match times will be posted by the week of February 8th on the GLTA tournament website and distributed at the CCC Welcome Party.
You must enter the same division in singles and doubles, in accordance with your higher/highest GLTA ranking
If your division is full, you have the choice to be placed on a wait list for the division, OR be entered in the next highest division.
The tournament draw committee has the right to reclassify a player to a higher division in accordance and with GLTA rules and regulations.
Singles and Doubles single elimination with a consolation bracket for 1st match losers in singles only.
Doubles will be played 2 out 3, with the 3rd set super tie-breaker.
Semi-finals and finals will be 2 out of 3 sets.

RULES
USTA / GLTA Rules and Procedures will be used. Players must report to the tournament desk at least 15 minutes prior to their posted match time. Once a match is called, the USTA 15-minute default rule will apply. After 15 minutes, a player not reporting for their match will be defaulted. All matches will be the best two out of three sets, regular scoring, with a 12-point tie-breaker at six games all in any set. A 5-minute warm-up will be strictly enforced. The Tournament Director reserves the right to change the scoring format in the event of inclement weather or any unforeseen event that may affect the scheduled completion of the tournament.
Appropriate attire is required at all times at the tournament.
CONFIRMATION OF ENTRY
Confirmation of receipt of entry will be via email.
Players will be notified of their entry status (main draw or wait list) in the email. After the draw is completed, a confirmation email will be sent with detailed tournament information including Welcome Party information and the web address of the draws posted online.
WAIT LIST, REFUNDS AND NON-PAYMENT
A waiting list will be maintained if more entries are received than can be accommodated in a particular draw. As withdraws occur, wait-listed players become elegible to participate and will be notified.
We will provide refunds to those players whose entries cannot be accommodated. Refunds will not be provided after the draw has been made nor due to inclement weather.
Deadline for refunds is January 30th, 2010.
A returned check is considered non-payment, and any charges related to a returned check are the responsibility of the player. A player’s spot in an event will not be held until payment in full has been received.
SCHEDULE
The tournament begins Friday, February 12, 2010, with matches continuing to Monday, February 15th, 2010, with both day and evening matches.
Match times will be available at the GLTA tournament website.
Semi-finals and finals in all divisions, singles and doubles, will be played on Monday, February 15th, 2010.
Please make travel plans accordingly.
Specific match information will be available after the draw has been posted.
CONSOLATION
A pro-set format is used in all consolation rounds leading to the finals, where a best-of-3 set format decides the winner.
FINAL NOTIFICATION
Final confirmation will be sent approximately two weeks prior to the start of the tournament.
RESCHEDULING AND INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event weather causes scheduling changes, no-add scoring and/or pro-sets may be invoked in order to complete the tournament. Heat rest rules may also be invoked. No refunds will be given for inclement weather.

It's conveniently located about 10 minutes from the tennis courts and 10 minutes to Wilton Manors.
Reservations must be booked early, as only a limited block of rooms are available.
Rates are $139.00 per night for a Single or Double Guest Room and $159 per night for a Triple rate and $179 for a Quad.
This is a very busy weekend in Fort Lauderdale for tourist and conventions.

DEFAULTS
A 15-minute default time will be strictly enforced for all matches. The USTA point penalty system will also be enforced.
HOSTED HOUSING
Unfortunately, we have already filled our supply of hosted housing.
